L’excitation et l’énergie d’un tournage sont des choses qu’un monteur n’a pas besoin de connaitre pour faire son travail.
Mais quand l’opportunité de participer aux 4 semaines de tournage de la série pour laquelle je suis monteur se présente, je ne réfléchis pas longtemps avant d’attraper mon appareil et de me proposer comme photographe plateau.
Voir un projet que l’on suit depuis son écriture et que l’on accompagnera jusqu’à sa diffusion prendre vie sous ses yeux. Avoir la chance d’immortaliser ces moments pour chacune des personnes qui ne se rendent pas encore compte de l’immensité du travail qu’ils fournissent. Partager ces mêmes moments avec des gens curieux et passionnés de découvrir l’envers du décors.
Toutes ces émotions je les ai ressenties ces 4 semaines durant, silencieusement installé dans un coin du plateau, immergé au milieu des installations ou dans l’euphorie de la salle régie, l’équipe s’est petit à petit livrée à moi, et à tous les curieux qui les découvrent encore aujourd'hui.

The excitation and energy of a shoot isn’t something an Editor needs to know to do its job properly.
But when the opportunity comes up to take part in the 4 weeks shoot of the series I’m editing for, I don’t need to think too long before grabbing my camera and proposing my services as set photographer.
What an amazing feeling to have the chance to witness the entire lifespan of a project,from its very birth up until its release. To be the lucky one to capture every moment of the wonderful crew not realizing yet the scale of the job they’re working on. And to share all of those moments with people eager to discover and learn more about what’s really happening behind the camera.
All of those emotions, I had the chance to fully live them during those 4 weeks, silently sneaking around the set, fully immersed into the crazy set energy or the so called “quiet” of the production office. In the end, the all crew slowly opened up to me, and to all the curious eyes discovering them today.
